2010 Marzocchi 55 Air with Avalanche damper, 1.125” stee

Seriously good fork! 35mm stanchions and 20mm axle for stiffness. Air spring with external volume adjustment to alter the how progressive the spring is. Titanium coil negative spring keeps the beginning stroke nice and supple. And then if that weren’t enough the Avalanche damper turns it all into buttery, supportive awesomeness. Externally adjustable low speed rebound and low speed compression. High speed adjustments can be made by altering the shim stack in the damper. All parts, tuning guides, tools, and shims are available from Avalanche. Kit includes the internally adjustable mid-valve to keep the fork riding high in the travel and reduce brake dive and the hydraulic anti-bottoming system for a bottomless feel at the end of the stroke.

Fork is well ridden and it needs new seals. Bushings are just barely beginning to show play. Right now I have it set at 140mm but by removing the internal travel spacer it can be easily adjusted to 160mm. Lowers show the usual nicks and scratches and the fork arch has some wear from the front brake hose. The crown has some wear from the rear derailleur housing rubbing on it. Stanchions are clean and smooth. Straight 1.125” steerer tube cut to 169mm. Does not include the brake adapter shown in the photos.
