Continental Der Baron DH MTB Tyre
Aristocracy has its duties. “Der Baron” is our downhill intermediate option that can also provide an assured ride in damp conditions. The arrangement of studs is aimed at grip in loose rock & mud, whilst the casing holds up to serious World Cup level abuse, thanks in part to a special reinforced ‘Apex’ sidewall. This extra thick, double-layer carcass effectively prevents pinch punctures & Der Baron uses a particularly soft (downhill) version of the legendary BlackChili Compound which provides unrivalled grip and rolling speed. The 2.3 “little Baron” is a firm favourite with Gravity Enduro riders, especially when it's wet. Clearly lighter than its big brother, it is perfect for freeriders and enduro riders. BlackChili compounds high wear resistance both transforms performance and value for money – MORE GRIP, MORE TREAD LIFE.
