Beautiful Japanese steel road bike from the early 80s; a pioneer in aero bike design. High quality and in very good condition. Detail cleaned and professionally rebuilt. Ready to ride, or display.

Tastefully rebuilt with modern components chosen to match the style, including new gum wall tires, cable housing, and cotton bar tape tied with matching twine.

Shimano 600 AX group was only produced for a handful of years. Stylishly designed for aerodynamics - reportedly reliable and fast. This set is impressively complete, including skewers, aero water bottle and cage, original chain with very low wear, brake and shifter leavers, hubs (unique with spoke heads all oriented on the same side of the flange), aero spokes, stem (considered to be one of the most stylish stems ever produced), bottom bracket, cranks, and aero track pedals (rebuild) with original straps. The only non-600 components are the headset (beautiful!) and seat post, which are both high quality aero alternatives. Kashimax Aero seat is surprisingly comfortable with very nice lines. Notable problems: brake lever hood rubber is cracked and could be replaced ($30 on eBay). Top cap from stem is missing, which does not compromise functionality.
