This is my limited edition Rocky Mountain Uk Special Project Hardtail. I have owned the bike for a few years now and I am selling the bike due to lack of use plus I'm planning on going travelling!

The bike is extremely versatile and can be used for anything from trail riding to 4x to low level freeride and downhill. It is a general chuckable bike. It has been looked after meticulously over its lifetime and has been washed after every ride.

The spec:
Frame: Rocky Mountain Uk special project Hardtail
Fork: Rockshox Recon XC (coil, 120mm travel)
Wheels: WTB rims on a wheel tech hub
Cranks: Shimano saint
Chain device: E*thirteen LS1+
Rear derailleur: Shimano Saint (9 speed, short cage)
Rear Shifter: Shimano Deore
Bars: Renthal Fatbars (uncut at 780mm)
Stem: Renthal Duo stem (50mm)
Brakes: Shimano Deore
Headset: FSA
Grips: ODI (almost new, lots of life left)
Tyres: Maxxis High Rollers (plenty of life left)
Pedals: DMR V8
Saddle: SDG Bel AIr I-Beam saddle with limited edition Rocky Mountain Graphic
Seatpost: SDG I-Beam

The Frame:

"Based around Rocky’s North Shore hardtail frame, the Reaper, the UK Special Project uses Rocky Mountain’s custom 6061 double-butted aluminium tubing. The hydroformed top tube and down tube are joined with one sleek weld before being attached to the head tube, creating loads of strength in one of the most stress-prone zones. The rear triangle uses ultra-stiff box-section tubing to ensure as little flex as possible, and the compact frame design gives plenty of standover height and manoeuvrability."
-Remains without any cracks or dents only some small scratches that can only been seen if within 10cm of the frame.
- The frame has a 16.5 inch seat tube and I have owned the bike from when I was 5"7 to my current height 6"4 so the frame can be used at miltiple different heights however the bike would be fitted smaller for more jump orientated trails and larger for more XC/trail centre type riding.

The Drivetrain:

I switched the original front mech for a chain device as to maintain the chain when riding jumps and rougher more technical sections of trail. Since fitting the chain device I haven't dropped a single chain and the device maintains robust and secure, warding off any knocks to the chainring with the hidden bash guard. Shimano saint cranks are incredibly strong and stiff and are not particularly heavy either, making the perfect combination for a bash proof bike. The saint derailleur is short cage, keeping itself out of the way from any knocks or bashes therefore maintaining its alignment and precision. It shifts at great pace and also helps to maintain the bombproof drivetrain I was looking to achieve.

Cockpit:

The dual Renthal cockpit was selected due to its extreme strength and small weight penalty. The bars I left uncut at there maximum width at 780mm allowing large amounts of downhill control. The stem is incredibly light and extremely strong with a short length of 50mm allowing for lots of control and also increased jump ability.

The damage:

The bike remains in good condition overall however there are some minor issues.
- The frame has some small scratches along the top tube however these can barely be seen and are only really noticeable if within a very close range of the frame.
-The cranks have some foot rub taking away the original graphic. I have combatted this by applying some vinyl crank protectors from slik graphics. This takes the foot rub out of view.
-The fork has scratches on the lower left stantions leading into the seal, this has taken away the gold lining on the surface of the station although it is not noticeable as it is covered by the arch supporting the lowers. I have honestly not yet felt a change in the performance of the fork and feel it is only a cosmetic issue. The fork could easily be upgraded in the future also.

I am looking for around £500,
I am open to any sensible offers, please feel free to ask me any questions concerning the bike. Thankyou for your time.
