2011 Trek par-RIG-gon w/ upgrades - PRICE DROP

You ain't never SEEN a bike like this before! The name par-RIG-gon comes from the monster of a bike that you see before you.

This is a 2011 Trek Rig single speed frame built up with a 2011 Trek Paragon groupo. It was one of a few bikes that my shop built up with extra frames and extra groupos. This combination means the bike has a few unique qualities. First of all, while it is not one of a kind per say, this bike is one of only a handful just like it. It has sliding vertical dropouts, which means that you can take the rear wheel off just like any other hardtail, but you can have proper chain tension when set up as a single speed. No creaky eccentric bottom bracket or bolt on rear wheel to deal with. Secondly, with the bike being based off of a single speed frame, if you smash your derailleur out in the woods (which I have), assuming you have the proper tools, you can break the chain and use the sliding dropouts to makeshift a single speed and pedal home (again, which I have before). I found this incredibly useful when I was 8 miles into the middle of nowhere.

I have meticulously maintained this bike for the past 4 years, and apart from some very minor cable rub around the head tube, there is virtually not a scratch on it. The chain, cassette, and middle chainring are all brand new, and the bike has recently received a professional tune up through my shop.
