Okay here's the story...bought this fork used many years ago, rode it for a while, had no issues with it but ended up buying a a Fox instead.
I took it apart and it sat in pieces for a few years.
Put it back together this year, but didn't have pictures or a service manual so I'm not sure I got everything back together properly.
The fork compresses. It has stiff compression and quick rebound but as I don't have a wheel with a 20mm hub I don't have a way to test ride it. I ended up putting 5 weight motor oil in it as well, since I didn't have any fork oil.
I have no use for it so I'm looking to get rid of it. It may or may not work, bit of a gamble as it's the only fork I've ever had apart.
Other things if you are gambling on it working:
-The rebound knob is stuck, can't remember if it was like this when I bought it or not but I don't usually fiddle with knobs much so it may have been.
-One of the locking tabs on the axle is broken. I rode it like this and as the axle is recessed into the dropout doesn't look like it would let go even if there were no tabs.
-If I pick it up and shake it sounds like one of the springs is moving around-----possibly a good indication I didn't get it back together properly.
