2004 Foes The Fly Downhill bike

MAKE ME AN OFFER! selling my much loved foes the fly 2004. ive barely used this bike for the last 3 years and its just sitting in the shed collecting dust. its about time it went to a new home. this would make a great bike with a bit of work, which is why im selling at such a low price. its about time it went to someone who can have as much fun on it as i have. its a great dh bike, and would probably make a great starter enduro bike as it pedals really nicely

Foes The Fly frame 2004 Easton Ultra-Light tubing 6-7 inch travel depending on which setting you put the shock, this also changes the compression to either a more linear or more progressive. floating caliper mount for rear disc, size medium in red, im 5ft 10 and it fitts me perfectly. i have managed to track down an e-manual for this frame giving lots of info on shock settings and how it effects the frames handling, if you give me your email address i will forward you a copy. this is actually a very adjustable frame, especialy as the shock's eye to eye length can be adjusted by about 12mm. more than happy to talk you through what does what when you collect.

marazochi 66RCV forks, air sprung and coil assisted 180mm travel fully adjustable. stanctions are blemish free, not a mark. needs a service, basically the rebound is stuck on the lowest seting. easy fix during a service (was quoted £80 from TF tuned 6 months ago)

fox vanilla shock steel spring, with adjustable eye to eye length, which means you can adjust the ride height of the frame, giving a higher or lower bb and slacker/steeper head angle, so you can make it better for dh, or more enduro orientated

halo SAS rims in yellow, they have been re-sprayed, few flakes of paint have come off as it wasnt a particularly good re spray

shimano deore rear hub QR (rear wheel) this is a special system specific to this bike, and is much stiffer than a standard quick release, theres a special bolt on non drive side which threads onto the skewer, hense why the qr is on the 'wrong' side

shimano XT front hub bolt thru axle and sealed bearings (front)

shimano hollow tech bottom bracket

shimano saint cranks 170mm

shimano deore LX shifter and rear mech, nothing special but shifts smoothly

shimano chain bit dirty but hasnt had much use

avid code front brake, 4 pot, with pad clearnce adjustble on the lever. 205mm disc floating rotor (shimano rotor) could do with a bleed

avid jucy 7 rear brake pad adjustment on the lever. 205mm avid disc. pads on both brakes have plenty of life left

e13 chain device (cant remember what the name is but ive never droped a chain on it) does come with a in built, detachable bash guard, if i can find it ill include it

Funn wide riser bars in white, a few scratches but nothing major (i have a pair of gusset 760mm flat bars and hussefelt stem which i can swap out for an extra £40)

matching Funn stem also in white DH stem with short reach

FSA alloy seat post, cut down to fit the shorter frame, its long enough that i can get the saddle at the right hieght, so if youre 5"10 and have 30" inside legs then youre onto a winner, if your taller than that you may need to get a new post.

hope sealed bearing headset, bearings could do with being replaced in the near future

blue NS legeater pedals - i will include these for the right price, excellent pedals, never slipped off of them even in the wet

maxxis high roller super tacky front tire, 2.5, fair amount of tread left

mitchelin rear tire 2.5 not much tread left, but makes a great fast rolling summer tire, or an awesome wet weather drifter! haha (for the right price i can include a brand new conty mountain king to replace)

i think that is everything, any questions just inbox me or somthing. im based in devizes, wiltshire. i wont post the bike id rather you come see the bike first, its at a low price because it needs work doing to it, forks could do with a service, and front brake could do with being bled, although it works alright currently. ive been quoted around 80 quid for the fork service, and a bleed should only set you back about 20 quid tops. the bike is more than ride able in its current state however. this is one of the best DH bikes ive ridden, and ive ridden a few ;) despite its age, these are also quite rare, especially in the UK. its not the lightest in the world, but is very responsive and sucks up big hits nicely. all in all this is a great bike, and i dont really want to sell it, but needs must. Like i say it does need some work doing to it, which is why ive set a low price. i throughly recommend you come and see it first, ive been as honest as i can about it, but come and see it, and decide for your self.
