2007 Santa Cruz VP-Free

Thinning the fleet. Built up piece, by piece, not sure of the year, but these are a bit old school for sure. I short shocked it which drops the bb and definitely makes them a more current riding machine. Google short shocking vp-free if you want more details
Have made a few options since photos. BB was a bit rough so put in a brand new Xtr one and swapped out longer older stem and handlebar for 50 mm gravity stem and a 760 mm wide gold kore durex handlebar. Cut steer tube shorter to lower and widen the whole feel of the bike.
Medium frame, custom powder coated a candy green color with a polished silver rear triangle

Gold Hadley hubs, 150mmX12 rear 20 mm front, 32 hole laced to mavic xm 321.
2007 Marzocchi 66 RC2X, 170 mm travel.
Fox DHX air 5.0 8.5x2.5. You give up some travel going this route but who doesnt like a slacker, lower bb dh rig I also have a brand new in the bag manitou swinger 6 way 8.75x2.75 with a 400# spring which is original length and stroke for this bike.

I have had this for probably 8 or so years and every year it gets out for a few rips and every time I ride it i have a shit eating grin and ask myself why i dont ride it more often.
Built this to be pedalable and I have never shuttled it and maybe chair lifted it twice. If i cant pedal up it, i dont ride it.
