1963 Mercian King of Mercia

Bought this bike from a friend who had attempted to restore it. As shown from the pictures, the white paint has in some places has reacted with the lacquer causing the paint to run. in some cases this has run over the transfers which were applied before lacquer.

the rear gears are fully functional but the front drelier has not been set up yet.

The bike has not been finished to a high standard but has been built back up with the parts available.

Everything shown on the bike is what was originally on it when my friend bought it. New parts such as the front wheel and seat/ seat post have been previously added which kind of ruin the old look. The back brake has been fitted but the front brake has been fitted but is missing the spring which holds the brake together.

New bar tape has been added and so has a chain.

The frame has been frame checked with mercian who have acknowledged that it is a mercian, king of mercia.

I wanted to try and help bring the bike to a higher standard but I have not got the time to do so.
