I've seen a variety of scale shots and I even assume my own weights (3689 grams close up. Includes FSA Orbit Extreme 1.5R headset, FSA Mega Exo bb and E13 mount. Raw frame - no shock) may be off slighty. Figure the old frame with shock is roughly 9.5 pounds plus (adding coil weight). New frame is 11.4 so give er' take adding 1-2 pounds on the old bike.
I'm building mine up currently and will weigh it. All the parts will be the same minus of course frame and shifter cable. We'll see how much it adds.
Anyone have any real seat time to tell if the rear is Brake-Jack free??? I was interested to read in MBA that their AM chasis with the same "on Axle" pivot showed ALOT of brake jack (I know MBA isn't that great a mag, but something that simple isn't something they can really be biased about from brand to brand so...) I then saw a guy out on the trail with one fo the same bikes and he said the same thing, that it really extended the shock under braking... interesting cause Treck's ABP is the exact same thing (is it a DW design lisenced to Treck or is the just more DW ego-mania BS in claiming that he invented this-actually I KNOW he didn't invent the concept cause it's been done in other applications before but that's another thread entirely eh)...
Anyway, so does it have bad brake Jack??? Is it the same suspension lay-out as their AM frames (I know it'as simillar, but is the shock actuation the same-meaning does the Wilson have another lower link I'm not seeing behind the drive train???
I'm really interested cause it's a DEAD SEXY frame IMO and I'd like to put it into the consideration box for my DH frame nbext year when I'm looking but I'd like to know what I'm getting into and I don't think I'm going to get to flog one as hard as I'd like and fully evaluate it like it was my own bike, before I buy. (right now the TR450 is leading the way on my want list so...)

I just bought a wilson and i have done 3 days of bike park (the king of brake bumps) and i have noticed that the 2011 wilson gets absolutely 0 brake jack. I love my wilson and i would definitely recommend it
I don't own a Devinci, but a Trek with the same concentric pivot on the axle. I know there are many other differences in the suspension system, but there is no jack at all. Doesn't even stiffen really.

MBA magazine are absolutely full of sh*t
I own a Devinci Dixon SP (the bike they mentioned) and I have ridden some horribly chewed up technical DH runs on it.....going way too fast, locking the brake up and the suspension has worked without any stiffening, allowing the rear wheel to track the ground and keep my bike under control
it has all the advantages of single pivot and FSR with none of the problems!
a previous bike I owned had the popular "faux-bar" (rocker activated single pivot, like Kona / Banshee) and this had horrible brake squatting, which caused the back wheel to skip across braking bumps when the brake was applied
I have also ridden the Wilson SP on a DH uplift day here in Wales, UK in horrible weather conditions (torrential rain and mud) and did way too much braking with no issues on the rear, its an active bike just like my Dixon SP
Sweet, that's EXACTLY what I was looking for in terms of feedback. Thanks guys, sounds like you all really like the Wilson, and the rear-suspension sounds like it does everything it says it does so that's a big plus. Gee, now I have ANOTHER bike to put on the list of possible's (I'm also really liking the look of the SPac. Status they replaced the Big-Hit with for next year)
Just yesterday was told by a friend of mine how big the similarities between a Wilson 2011 and an Evil Revolt are - they are sooooo equal, almost the same.... Made my day, started lauphing like an idiot! Now on the serious side - there are lots of people now on Wilson, so gotta ask how is it performing under someone slower? I've read a review somewhere and they said it's good only if you ride it very fast, it's not top choice for slower riders....

it's defiantly a better high speed bike, but i find it rides excellently at low speeds when it is in the high geometry option
