26'' Lyrik can't fit 650 tyre.
On new 27.5, you can run whatever you want (no problems with 27,5x2,5)

false. theminsta has a photo of a 2.35 magic mary on a 38mm rim in a 26 lyrik. that's the same size as most DH tyres so you should be okay.

Oooops I didn't specify I'm thinking of going Totem 650b.

From what I can tell it'll fit a 26x3.0. How close in size is that to a 27.5x2.5?

i imagine you'd be fine especially if your talking maxis....they are small. my Totem had loads of leftover room.

What size are you running? Can you send me a pic of the gap between the tire and arch?

This is getting me all excited Smile

Here is the only one I have (as it is gone now) But this was a 2.35 Hans which is traditionally slightly larger in size than a 2.5 Maxxis. Mega Room

It's as if it was made for 650b. Consider me sold.

There is a Norco on Google images with a big 27.5 tyre in a totem. Not a problem. Same offset as a 27.5 pike too.

...Ended up getting a Pike simply because I didn't want to buy a stem and hub and rebuild my front wheel.

Plus I saved a couple bucks on a used one.

I figured with a fork that old it'd be in my best interest to buy new, and the ones in my price range were 1.5
