that seem like an odd place to crack.. underside of top tube where it joins to seat tube? Try contacting Giant about it?

on defects.. not on abuse and wear/riding. give it a shot though you got nothing to lose.

i know.. probly since its a recent frame theyll hook you up.. but i have a 2005 giant dh comp.. its lifetime warranty and i broke it couple weeks ago... they wudnt replcae the swingarm because its wear and abuse from riding and not a defect.

I think it is worth to let us know how did you brake it.

Lets us know what happens. Its a DH bike and should last more then a year.

I think that should be covered by warranty, there's no reason that such a new frame should break there unless you didn't have enough of your seatpost inside the bike. Giant says that you should have at least 80mm of seatpost inside the seat tube.

what could have caused this to happen??

yeah...its probably a seattube lenght issue...as many broken reign x links, that when it`s too low it touches the derailleur and breakes, it`s a matter of putting your bike together in the right way...I guess

You are all a bit wrong because the seat post is 15 cm long and to this moment I know 3 other riders who have broken frames at the same place. Giant sent me a new frame one month ago.

just FYI 15cm is probably too short and is what caused it to crack.
