Will probably swap bars out next since the color of the Renthals bothers me. Yeah, I'm that guy.
Hey think this might be the place where you can answer my question. I am looking for a single crown light DH bike. I could get a nice deal on a Carbon Covert. How solid is that frame? A good choice for weekend racing DH?

More of an all mountain ride, they can handle some light DH stuff but...its not really a DH bike. Keep in mind this response is coming from someone who put a Totem single crown 180 on his Old Covert and points it though some pretty ruff stuff. So they can take alot more than one might think...
I love the amble ale color. you'll love that thing
Cool, thanks. Had the first ride on it last Wed evening on some steep loose single track and the main thing that stuck out at me is how well the bike handles and how quickly it reacts to rider input. I mean I built her on the tankish side, and she turned out at 36.14lbs even, but on the downhills she took it like a drunken billy-goat......quick, twitchy and in control. I am a very happy boy.
New wheels, Fast suspension CO3 cartridge, Racing Bros Seals.
I have no idea how I could have ever cheated on this amazing bike. Nothing manuals, jumps or corners better (IMHO) The double crown setup works a treat and the fork feels nothing short of awesome.
If she had the proper female parts I'd never need chicks again
Oh, if you were asking about mine it weighs 36.14lbs. Not light because of the full coil suspension and DH tires mainly, but so far I am not having any issues climbing hills due to the weight, this bike rocks.
