Yeah i sure didn't build it to be a cruiser, i put a new Rando' on when i built it and i'm almost through it, the fact it keeps raining is making it last longer though

cmon then guys totally new to road riding gunna get a road bike over next few days im going to be using it for work so ill be doing 3mile a day in wet and dry so i want a tire thats really grippy but what do you guys recommend

Try Specialized All Conditions. They have good reviews on them for being grippy.

I'm on Continental Ultra Sports 23c kevlar folding tires and I use their Race 28 light tubes (60gr). Running at 115psi and love the set up which is for training on my TT roadie.
Gator Skins also great tire and they last.

For serious TT rides I use

Grand Prix Supersonic 700x20c 140gr. 140psi recomended 170psi max folding
Better make certain the road or riding surface is not full of debris (rocks, etc...) Otherwise it's a very fast tire.
With the Race 28 tubes, tire and tube weight is 200gr. each.
