I always thought Dura Ace cranks couldn't get any uglier... It seems I was wrong. Four bolt chainring pattern? Really? Sheesh.

(Still, I'm sure theyre going to be great.)

One day Shimano is going to release Dura Ace 'Classic', a group set that looks normal, with straight edges, visible fasteners, and traditional design proportions. And it's going to be all the rage.

Using a shimano cassette with sram is the way to go. Shift smoother, more snick snick than clunk clunk. Also quieter.

Best road bike under 4k brand new? I'm thinking cannondale CAAD10 1 Dura ace. Opinions? How does that compare to something like a trek madone 5.2/5.5 or a super six ultegra? The thing I like about the CAAD10 is that if I grow more or want to upgrade (I will be buying it slightly large no matter what-54cm) I can just slap a new frame and fork on and keep the dura ace.

Colnago CLX 3.0. Italian heritage, amazing ride, and will still be sexy in 5 years.

looks sweet but it has to be from a brand that my bike shop can get. I forgot to mention that. I hcve to choose from: Raleigh, cannondale, specialized, bianchi, and trek.

Bianchi Infinito and Sempre dressed in Ultegra or Veloce would be nice choices...

Have your shop become a Colnago dealer. LOL

Scott Foil 20... end of story. Stiffness, weight, and aero all in one package with full Ultegra for $3300. Can even find the 15's with Ultegra electric on sale for $4k but I'm more a mechanical guy myself.

Although the SuperSix's are awesome rides too... they just lack in the aero dept.

Of those... the SuperSix for sure.

Speedplay Zero's... cause they're better than anything else out there in every measurable way.

Any shop can buy from any distributors catalog... But clearly buying a brand your shop has a stronger business relationship with has tons of benefits.

really? i really want dura ace. just 'cuz. the CAAD10 -1 is lighter than everything else everyone had mentioned. and arguably better spec'd.
