Like, do a really pleasant wave or something that wouldn't generally happen! Hahaha
hahaha im so doing this next time Smile

or if you get to talk to them be really polite, but say something like, why are you putting my life in danger? was it worth it? do you feel good about your self now you done that?

usually if i can i just over take them and force my self back were i was originally, like when they over take me before a red light or T junction and i have to slam on my brakes so i don't hit them, so if i can i ride around them and get back in my place Smile i'm sure it pisses them off but i really don't care

oh and a few days ago i was catching my breath at the top of a big hill about to fly down but then this women over takes me then keeps slamming on the brakes before every speed bump, nearly hit the back of her a few times (and my brakes are quite good) was like 6 of the bloody things!

i really wasnt going that slow either, 30mph zone and i was doing like 20mph and would of gone much faster than her down the hill because i don't need to brake

They could even have weapon on them....

thats why i like having a D-lock in the holster on my belt, well one of the reasons, that would knock some one out easy, my chain is probably more scary but takes a few seconds to get off

I was already riding around the mini-roundabout in town when this stupid woman in a yellow Panda drove straight across without looking or slowing. Made me whack the brakes on and get the back wheel up. She then slowed down so I overtook her Razz

Set off from some lights today, second inline behind a car. Set off right on their tail and kept on until about 25mph (30mph road), when the car behind decides to overtake very closely and squeeze into the gap in front of me.

What pissed me off was they had a 'Baby on Board' hanger in the rear window. Asking everyone else to drive carefully, but not doing so themselves?!

I got in the slip stream right in the middle and just stared at her in the rear view mirror shaking my head. At the next set of lights I just went past, to the front. I don't get the mentality. Squeezing past me, just to sit behind another car going at the same speed, it's crazy.

is it right that i know more highway code than drivers? - without actually ever having driven

its a cars width to pass a bicycle!

drivers think its their right to drive when its a privelige. one thats far too easily obtained, joined with the fact i know more and dont drive yet they have the license?

and i have to look 3 or 4 ways to cross roads (ride on pavement) when a driver doesnt really care and really on looks one way

i just though, as i ride on the pavement i piss pedestrians off. this is good as this is how we feel on road

they moan we dont pay road taxes but wouldnt ever consider cyclists to be even closely similar to a vehicle...

When I was having lessons my instructor noted that I was much more aware in general than most, which I guess comes from cycling. I didn't even do that much on the road back then.

It should be compulsory for everyone to ride a bike for a week before they get a driving license haha

That said, if I go out for a few hours on the road, there is usually only one or two instances that you call close shaves. Considering the amount of car that pass, it's not too bad. 1/100, I don't know?

i wouldn't mind paying a small amount of road tax to ride on the roads if it was more suitable for cyclist

but i'm not paying to ride on pathetic excuses of a bike path thats in the gutter and to have drivers try run me over

they are the ones ruining the roads, we cause no damage to the roads

'Don't pollute Gods earth....ride bikes' - That'd be a good sticker to put on you bike.

yeah i agree with that
wouldnt mind paying a bit if it was properly done
and essentially, once the had covered the cost bak fo what they could do (upgrades etc.) it would be profit

when i was commuting to uni 4-5mile trip each way it would be maybe 1/70 close calls
it should be none

Posted: Jul 20, 2011 at 11:18 Quote
not just the close calls, drivers just don't treat me with respect, I'm just something in there way

and its the cars and lorry's that ruin the roads so they need to spend so much fixing it, the worst thing i do to the roads are skid marks, so why should we pay for them to ruin the roads?

just think if there was no cars they wouldn't need to have such big roads, wouldn't have to have so much space for parking, and with bike tyres rolling on them the roads would last for ever
