Plus he doesnt have a single picture uploaded of any of his bikes, you sell them all without using pinkbike?
I think he deletes the photos as soon as he sells one and buys another to hide any traces of the bike he previously owned.
The sick thing is he posts ads claiming he's selling his bike due to some financial hardship and begs someone to buy it. For the Operator it was paying for school, but them BLAMMO...new Norco.
The ad he posted for the Norco claimed he needed to sell it b/c his parents lost their jobs and he was trying to help them out...but then BLAMMO...I guess we'll have to see what the new bike is.
The Aurum is not your every day FR bike it is home on fast DH tracks with rough gnarly terrain and massive jumps. I felt the suspesion as bottomless eating up every bump in your direction. My Medium rode great for a small 5 foot 7 inch rider! The wheelbase could be shorter and pedaling wasn't as good but hey Norco did well with this years new Aurum.
If you can afford it man more power to you, right now im still in grad school and my operator is my only option. As soon as I graduate though and get a "real job" I will have a new ride coming my way and I can assure you it will not be a kona.
You're buying into the marketing/suspension hype. I have a real job and also selected the Operator over various other offerings, namely the Wilson and Aurum. I was previously on a 07 Sunday and 09 Glory and am completely satisfied on my Operator.
Mitch Delfs finished 11th in the last World Cup race on the Operator... don't let the haters sway ya.
No way man, I spend 5+ days a week at the bike park and I have gotten to know a lot of people really well and have ridden a ton of different bikes. My operator is a good bike dont get me wrong, but it is not my favorite that I have ridden.
They have really good size and grip, but this is my second set of them, I bent one of the spindles on my first set and they are impossible to find. I probably would have went with something else the second time around but I just got a really good deal on these.

Get a real job. how did you play for a 5K bike with out one LOL. once you have a "real job" you have real bill to pay so it doesnt work out that way. You clearly live breath and eat bikes so I can see where your coming from. A group of my friends all ride 6K+ worth of bikes with saint everything and they are very nice. For me the operator is more than I need as im still new to DH and still need to grow a pair to hit the big stuff.

My bike did not cost 5k, my bike cost me 3k, which I managed to put together through my seasonal jobs I had when I was not in school. I also get a lot of help from friends I have made along the way riding these past two years with different various parts. So far this year I have been given sets of brake pads, 3 tires, had my suspension serviced, brakes bled and been given heavy price cuts on other things just so I can keep riding. Right now I have 35 days so far this season at Highland, something I probably would not be able to do alone.
