Just got mine in, and will change some parts to make it lighter....

any other Honzo-ists out there?

How do you like the ride?

Bought my Honzo as a frame and have been building it up over the past month. Should be done building it this afternoon followed by a de-virgining rip through the woods. I'm coming from a 26" wheeled Trans AM. Very similiar bike, with the only difference being the wheel size. I have high hopes for this Honzo. Only thing I'm concerned about is being able to flick it around the turns like the Tranny.....can't wait to find out!
Cheers!

Cool!

Let me know how the defloration went Smile

I recently swapped my front ring to a 34T to make the commute a bit quicker on the downhills.
Other then that I still love the ride.

I recently got a Honzo and have changed it up a bit; XT cranks, the new SLX brakes with ice tech pads/rotors, new wheels with dt swiss rims and hope pro 2 EVO hubs, and crankbros acid 2 pedals. Rides sweet Big Grin

I have been riding a store demo Honzo all season and loving it. Today I pulled the trigger and built one up for myself. Build Highlights: XX rear Derailleur and shifter, Elixir 5 brakes with Straitline levers, Easton Havoc Carbon Bar, Easton Haven Carbon wheels, Hans Dampf tires, Raceface Six C Cranks, Haven post (till I decide on which dropper to use) XTR trail pedals, the rear cassette is an 11-32 XT unit, found I did not need the 36t on the stock bike. Can't wait to go out and abuse this bike. My Raijin will be happy to get a break, and only be used for what it was meant for.

Now thats pimp.

Watch out for the style police though with all dem headset spacers! Wink

Don't worry that is the stock spacers. I have now slammed the stem as low as I can with the stock headset, and want to go lower, so I will be putting in a cane creek 110 low stack. After I decide on a stem, them I will cut the steerer.

Anyone else ride the Kona Taro? i know its a lightweight aluminum frame but i feel like it would make an amazing all mountain bike. I bought one and went out last week and im still a newbie at mtb so im wondering if the Honzo and Taro are an all around type of bike.

They are fun everywhere so to me that means a good all-around. That and you can ride anything you want.
