I just got a small tr250. It has a 500 pound spring on it now. I weight around 110. What weight spring would fit me best.
thank you,
Alex

Prob 300 to 350 i would say. you can use the spring rate calculator here:

Under "Quick Tech Rear shocks" there is a spring rate calculator

finally rebuilt my 2013 TR250 after having it painted.

It was the 2013 black and white colours, but I just didn't like them. They seemed too fussy. So went with a solid colour and 2012 graphics. Less is more in my book!

I also added a Vivid Air shock

The pics don't do the colour justice. Its a real nice light grey.

I'd be really keen to hear your thoughts on the vivid air too. I'm just about to put a CCDB air on mine but I'm keeping a look out for a vivid air so I can try them back to back.

Looks sweet in white, who did you use to paint this?

It's a light grey rather than white, but yeah, it looks sweet!

I used a company called Blastcoat to powder coat it. They know what they are doing, especially with heat and alloy frames.

cheers for that, what did they charge?

I had 3 frames done at the same time. They sand blasted them back the powder coated them. Including postage back to me I paid £175. Which I didn't think was too bad.

Then got the graphics made by Slik.

Really pleased with the result!

That's a great price, for all 3? I take it you removed all the bearings and cups or did they do this.

Many thanks for the contact, looking at the new TR500 but don't like the colours, want the Cyan again as the TR250 I have already.

Rad. I had my first proper day out with the ccdb air xv and it was really good. The first time an air shock has felt as good as a coil (in my limited experience). I haven't really set it up with much care but it feels like I stumbled on ok settings. Do you know what tune you're currently running? I'd really appreciate if you could share them.

Just got my hands on a used 250 and was wondering what everyone runs for tire setups? I live in the northwest and usually ride in Whistler like conditions. I would love something that works well in bipolar weather/trail conditions (rain and dust). I've heard good things about the ardents and high hollers. Let me know what you think!
