Finally got to ride my newly built tr250, I now see what all the hype is about! Final touches at the shop tomorrow and then I'll toss up a photo!

Niiiccceee you'll love it! Chainguide looks like it's giving a hard time to the chain, I would loosen that up a little!

I run mine with 160 front and rear as an all mountain setup, works well

I run my TR250 with 160mm travel at the rear.there are two hole at the linkage(bottom part of rear shock),The bottom hole is 160mm the top hole is 180 mm,all you have to do to change it is to undo top bolts of your rear shock using 2 alan keys once you do it will open the bottom linkage to easily switch your travel.Hope that helps

Opinions on a 2012 Transition Tr250 w/ a 2014 Boxxer RC, Fox Van RC, Avid Code brakes, Sram X9 derailleur. Are they good bikes? What Should I pay? Any info would be appreciated, Thanks!

They're very good bikes! Feels very lively and sooo much fun in the air. Boxxer rc's aren't the best imo I rode on one day and they didn't cut it for me, would be only thing I would change in your build! Not sure on price I don't watch the for sale section that much, probably around 2000$-2250$ cad for sure.

Hey guys need some tinkering advice..

I got a tr250 for pennies, and have parts to build it up. I want to get a little more travel out of it, and set the sag a bit in and get a little bb drop.

I'm thinking of doing a 8.5 x 2.75 shock (instead of 8.5 x 2.5) w/ an offset bushing on rear triangle side to keep BB height.

My only issue would be rear triangle compressing too far (.25 further than stock) and frame >frame contact?

Anything else I missed?

Possibly the linkage contacting the frame as well as it rotates through the travel. You know the longer travel setting is 180mm right? I can't see risking adverse performance on a very well balanced bike to get a bit more travel, but that's up to you.
