Hey, one more here. Just finished a huge setup to raise bar super high: high crown, 50mm rise bar and 6mm rise stem. Looks creepy, but im 1.95 tall (6'5'') and my back isnt healthy enough to run low bars. What do you think? It is 16.9kg over there for local smooth trails, and up to 18.1kg for big mountains...

hey guys, I was wondering if anyone was ever dealing a with a BROKEN HEAD TUBE CLAMP. I got offered to buy a Gambler 2010 for about 400 euros, which I think is pretty good deal, but while cleaning and tuning the bike I found the head tube clamp, the bottom 2 screws one is partially broken. Its kinda sad, but Im not surprised, coz it definitely is the weakest spot on the whole frame.
Has anyone ever before welded the head tube clamp together?
Bike is set to +1degree freeride and I think Im totally ok with that, dont think I would ever really need to change the angle. Definitely not a fan of chopper style headtube angles.
Thanks for your ideas

it looks like you have two options:
find a replacement trianlge, or try welding it (maybe take that clamp out), you will probably have to get it machined and possiblly heat treated.

i recently bought a 2013 gambler 30 but the spring is way too soft. im 5foot7inches tall and weigh 11.5 stone. its got the Fox VAN R and it is currently running a 250x 3.75 spring but i was thinking i need a 400/450lb? does anyone have any recommendations too what spring i should get?? and what length spring it is?

Think it's too soft from riding it? Or 250 just seems too low a number?

Looking at upgrading my rear shock on my 2014 gambler to the new Fox X2 question is do I go for float or coil ?
will it fit with within the linkage system ?
will I be able to get to the HC AND LC tuning dials ?

Or what's the best shock to work for us ?
Currently running the van R which is crap

I am running the X2 air and it is like it was designed to work perfectly with the frame. Has just enough clearance for tuning all dials.

Anyone know this Gambler 10 in the UK? Looks suspiciously cheap and the poster has only been on gumtree for less than a month. Located in Cornwall

Hmm.

Says viewing welcome, brakes are routed for UK. could be a bargain if legit.
