Super nooby question here:

An xt cassette will work with sram shifter and derailleur right? (Just want to check). Does it matter which company chain I use?
Yes, it'll work fine... No, chain doesn't matter...

I'm running an XT cassette with X0 rear derailleur, XT front D, and X9 shifters with a KMC X10SL chain on my 29'er right now...

Vague question, I'll update it when I have some proper details.

Does anyone know the weight on the older style Giant reigns?

And does anyone know how the sizing was on them? They look incredibly low slung.

Thanks!

I had an 09 Reign X, it was an XS but still had almost a 22" tt. I want to say the frame is close to 8lbs

I think the prerunners must have had some hiccups in some. I have two pairs with no issues other than me running thru pins like hot cakes. New predators are the shit tho!!

Best AM/XC/DJ/DH/FR/SS pedal right here:

I never liked mine. I'm really liking the Straitline Amps with longer set screws as pins! I've had some big rock impacts and they still look new!

I have heard there was some kind of problem with the axles or something? I cannot remember the problem, but apparently it is recommended to wait for the next version to come out.

It will work just fine. I run an SLX 11-36 cassette with a SRAM PC-1071 chain and X.0 shifter/derailleur. Works flawlessly.

Get an X.7 shifter, they work equally as well and cost half as much.

Maybe I will go x7 shifter x0 der if it doesn't cost too much more.
