Dh bike or freeride need help!!!

Should I buy a downhill bike or a freeride bike which would be more fun as I ride downhill on a hardtail at the moment and I do dirt jumping to. What's best for me?

Get a freeride bike then if you want something which can take even more get a dh bike but sounds you would want a freeride bike more

DH bicycles in my opinion, are for training to race and racing itself. It all depends on what you're doing. Most freeride bikes can handle DH track, only way slower then DH bikes, due to high center of gravity etc. In short, if you're into racing = DH bike, if you're into riding with friends, jumping are around etc = freeride.

i have the same problem. i ride downhill on a hard tail but love jumping as well when i get a dh or fr bike i will keep my dirt jump bike. should i get a downhill or freeride as im looking to race next year.

The main difference is reliability: a 'downhill bike "is designed to compete and go fast; however the freeride is designed to define your own style, no matter what others do. The DH bike will always be more flexy.
