This probably a retarded question, but can my 08 BigHit serve for more enduro styled riding or am I flogging a dead horse. My cassette is 8 speed 11-32 with a 32 chainring.

You can look at my BH in my profile pics.

I am just returning to cycling in general after about a 20 year break and got the BH frame very cheap $80 NZ dollars.

I love the bike, but I dont think pure DH or Freeride suits me.

As a father of 2 I'm watching my funds so please dont tell me I should buy an enduro.

Would the BH suit for the time being?

I tried running a dual chain setup on my bighit and it bobbed on every pedal. It's possible but you'll be killing yourself on the uphill. Plus the bike weighs a ton.

You're right about it weighing a ton. I'll probably have to pick up another cheap frame and build that up.
