as long as you dont miss or go feet first you will be fine. I've literally landed on my head and it hurts less than going feet first.

I can finally post in this thread! Last night I was having a session at Terminal 1 with a couple of mates, park was busy so we decided to hit the foampit seeing as it was empty at the time, Do a few 360's and stuff to get a feel for it, then decide to try a tailwhip. 1st couple of attempts go well, then the 3rd attempt I kick the bike, spin with my arms but it stops halfway, threw the bike away from me and fell into the foam, and on landing I tweaked my ankle real bad and felt it click. Went to the hospital later and luckily its only sprained badly, but I'm still out for a couple of weeks and hobbling around on crutches for a bit. Not stoked.

This will probably contradict whatever they told you at the hospital but......

Once the swelling has come down a bit try to walk on it as frequently as you can without causing too much pain. I sprained my ankle last Saturday and elevated, iced and took care of it for a couple days, but also walked on it every day, a little more each day, and kept doing hot and cold as well as elevating. I was able to ride this Saturday that just passed (not really crazy shit mind you) with only minimal pain, I iced afterward and elevated and rode agin yesterday. Keep in mind this was an ankle I had sprained really badly a year or so ago and this last sprain was also pretty bad. Just feel it out, but definetly don't baby it too much, and get off the crutches as soon as possible

got a clip of the best bail ever today. guy tried a pedal grind 360 off, down 4 stairs. he fell pretty hard, got it all on camera; i might put it up, but i think the other filmer might be saving it for SV3

The computer I'm using was freezing up, so I got to see about 3 seconds of his leg calling it quits.

What do you mean luckily ? A bad sprain is worst then a regular break

At the end of January I rolled the hell out of my ankle and had very serious joint effusion (swelling inside of the joint, rather than around tissue). My ankle swelled like crazy and still today in May it's slightly bigger than the other. I spent about 3 months doing physio until it was back to where it should be strength wise. Ankle injuries suck.

If you can Lou94, talk to your doctor about doing a bit of physio as it does indeed speed up the process.
