Hey I'm looking for a new car. Not so much looking for a Audi or BMW as they just cost to
Much to maintain IMO. I'd like it to be a sporty sedan. I'm looking at Mazda6's and I've always liked those cars. I've driven a lot of decently fast cars.(BMW 530i,750i, Caddilac CTS and some others. But like I said I'd like to stay with reliable relitivly cheap to fix cars. If anyone has some advice for me or suggestions. That would be great! I'm looking to spend between 8-12000.
Cheers
Steve

I dunno what models they do in Canada but looked at an accord type s. much nicer interior than audis. On par with BMW I'd say and best build quality

check out a 96-2000 Lexus LS400

it has all the bells and whistles, V8 4.0 plenty of power, not that bad on gas (for a VCool. Rear wheel drive.

and comparable to a BMW, Benz, BUT its made by Toyota, so parts are not that expensive.

and reliability? its a toyota, enough said. i currently have a 96 Avalon, i have over 280K with no problems and never anything major, knock on wood.

when the avalon dies, i will get a LS400.

Ya man, I'm pretty set on a Lexus! I'm thinking of going with a is300! Love the car and perfect size engine for me!

I actually had one, 2004. it was sweet! bad on gas tho, the inline 3.0 6 cylinder is a pig on gas. i think i averaged 16-18 mpg.

motor is strong tho, and lots of upgradable parts. lots of people throw the supra 2jzgte motor and 6 speed in them.

stock motor is a 2jz ge.

what's the performance difference with that engine?

Big Diference between the supra and IS,
The 2jz-gte in the supra is a turbocharged motor, and the 2jz-ge in the IS is non turbo.

There are many differences between the motors. Different pistons, compression ratio, and probably a completely different valve train.

The IS300 is a great car, I loved mine.

But next time around, I'm going with the LS400.
