What days are you going to head out? Post back with a rough time and I can come out with my rakes/clippers.

I'm off this week but I'll take a day and come out.

We've got power (NoVA - fairfax) what about you guys? We had a rather large branch come down on our fence in the backyard but chopped it up and cleared it up pretty quick.

my house was out for about 10 hours...

the folks place is still out --- they have a generator which can power up the old part of the house just fine --- the whole house is a sorta a stretch .... they pay ~ $1300 a month!!!! for electric so half the house will be just fine for now ....DOH!!!

yeah -- they have some new, cutting edge design in the works.

only the Team DH still uses that Quad link design

that stuff they have now seems to be just another copy of what everyone else is using

TRAIL DAMAGE REPORT

ok people of "the farm" ---

once again, more trail side damage.

l was out there yesterday dumping off some branches l cleared from the yard only to find more, new, damage -- a big-ass tree fell near that first turn going to BC.

it's completely blocking the trail, you can't drive all the way just yet. it needs a lots of lopping, clearing, chain-saw action.... l'm gonna tackle some of it today.

AND THEN --- about 20/30 yards away, another big ass tree fell against yet another large tree and they both look like they could fall any time now.

many of you are quite helpful keeping the trails clear but here ----

DO NOT ATTEMPT TO HELP THEM FALL ALL THE WAY TO THE GROUND -- repeat, don't try to fall those trees... these are widow maker sized trees... let mother nature take them down. only a professional should be touching that kind of storm damage.

l was there -- not no mo.

** l cleaned up the tree that fell across the road to BC.

** finished the steps down to the shore line *** gonna stop where l'm at. l dont want them too visible from the stream... just going to fill in that last section (l have two 80lbs bags of cement l'll use).
------------> don't ride em with bikes, just foot traffic please.

** cleared a 30 foot-ish section, making a quick link to the trail that will buzz ya over to Hattrick. -- it's marked with some VDOT orange flags. so, now after you do Brontosaurs, you can easily buzz over to Hattrick. installed a sign so everyone hitting Hattrick kows which way to go.
