Hey how many people are still riding on a Slayer with the LC2R geometry? Not the SXC but the first generation.

I'm still riding a first Gen Slayer, with the 3D link (01-05) model years.

I have one of those to, 2001. I have to put it all back together since it needed some love after many years of abuse.

I have one and I absolutely love it. Picked it up last year and it was in kinda rough shape, started by rebuilding the Marzocchi Drop off 3, new set of Hayes Stroker Trail Brakes, WTB dual duty Free Ride Rims with sram 506 hubs, new Shimano XT rear cassette, and Race Face Ride XC 170mm crankset. Then after all of this I broke the chainstay on the rear triangle in September of last year, got the new triangle (300 from rmb) and she is ready to slay once again!

Nice built man, here something I did to me bike that you should all do. I replaced my BB twice already and they didn't have that much time on them. I found that the plastic cap on top of the tube where the front derailleur mount is to blame. It's not water tight so water make it's way in and accumulate in the BB housing and ruin the BB. So I used some grey RTV and sealed it, no more problem.

A buddy of mine has one. He love it! I've ridden it a few times and think its a dawg unless you have gravity on your side. Real plush though.

I am still riding the 06 slayer, but I just destroyed the rear triangle!!! cracked all four legs to the pivot! :-( would love some help finding a replacement...

Nothing doing in the uk for RM,had to have pivot bolts made at great expense, has RM abandoned the UK?Evans cycles are supposed tho be the dealers, but they don't give a shit unless there selling you an overpriced trek or speshy
