need wheelsets for a freeride bike, and have no idea how to tell if a wheelset I see for sale is tough enough for the job. I am 195lb and ride trails that have jumps, drops, roots, rocks on them. If anyone could suggest quality lightweight rim/spoke/hubs or complete sets and fair prices, I would appreciate it.

Hope pro II hubs for sure. DT swiss champion spokes are cheap and strong. For the hoop, i currently run mtx 33 and i like them. Had a few 7-8 feet drops and they stayed perfectly true (I'm 200 lbs). Mavic ex 729 are probly the best quality for your money tough. A bit more expensive then the mtx but probly better.

you could also have a look at the azonic outlaws. They came as a wheel set for about 350$
