Hello,

I have a E-thirteen Lg1 chain guide on my DH bike (flatline) but I'm not so happy with it, I broke twice the little piece that holds the pulley and a few days ago I snatched both lower parts...

So my question is what chain guide is stronger or better enginered ?

What about this blackspire ?

or the straitline ?

or any other ?

Any feed back is very welcome Smile

Of the two you have shown I would take the blackspire for toughness , one of the gamuts selling points is it's very low wieght as you can see from the skinny back plate.
If you can get hold of the older E-13 devices with the full bash ring they are tough as hell.

thanks for your opinion ! I think I ll give a try to the blackspire, chain guide weight is not an criterion on my 20kg bike ^^

Same here dude , I would take some thing that last years over some thing that saves 50 grammes any day Smile

One more question, will this blackspire fit to my flatline, with a saint crank ? I readed somewhere that I have to watchout that it s compatible, is it ?

You should try the mrp g2, awsome chain guide, my chain always stayed where supposed and strong.

No thanks, MRP G2 has the same system as LG1 which I exactly want to change...

I can't see why the blackspire wont work with saints and your frame it's not an unusual design

ok, fine Smile I asked because I readed something about some chainguide that are not compatible with saint cranks, but maybe I misunderstood.

Maybe on the 2012 ones perhaps but I have not heard anything about them , ran many guides with my saints over the years with no probs.
