Which one is better?

HS1s seem to be quieter and less prone to "turkey gobbling" than the G3, so I'd go with those.

HS1's are lighter too

The HS1s look much better! And that is just the shit. Who cares if they brake better, are cooler, lighter... lol

I have 203mm rotors currently on my Codes. Anyone know if the 200mm HS1 would be compatible with them as they are just now or would I need a new adaptor?

Removing the CPS hardware makes up for it i think. not 100% sure

Ah right that makes sense. Considering its only a 3mm difference that would be the logical move. Thanks for the help!

Actually it's 1.5mm on the caliper side. Technically, you should be getting a new adaptor. You could either remove the CPS hardware (and put some spacers instead to just lower the caliper by 1.5mm) or grind slightly your actual adaptor (don't know by how much though...)

I still don't understand why they use the CPS hardware ... useless, weighty, boring to setup, ... If you follow the Hope video on pad aligning thing, it works much better and you don't need any cps spacer.

They started using CPS when frame companies didnt face their brake tabs very well, and consistancy was an issue.
Now day, its totally pointless, so the new avid brake dont come with it anymore
