Currently living in Salt Lake City UT and looking to make a camping trip along I-70 in Colorado and ending at Colorado State University. I raced in the MSC circuit for a bit so I'm familiar with some resorts (Keystone, Sol Vista, Snowmass), but looking for some advice with some other resorts. These are the other possible resorts I have in mind:

- Sol Vista
- Keystone
- Vail
- Winter Park
- Snowmass

I made this list from a little internet browsing and my previous race experience, but really open to suggestions if I'm missing any awesome resorts along the way I would love to hear about it.

Anyone else done a trip like this? I'm also looking for advice on camping locations. I have camped my whole life so I don't mind trekking it into the middle of nowhere just don't want my car to be towed from the side of the road.

Any advice will be most appreciated!

definitely go to winter park and sol vista, winter park isn't very technical in terms of steep down hill but it has some super fun features. Sol Vista is very natural with lots of loose rock and huge gaps. Overall they are both fun places to ride and like danarchy420 said, they are very close to each other. In winter park there is also a cool camp site basically in town. Hope this helps a little.

You can camp at a camp grounds and pay for your spot or camp in the national forest for free no toilets in the woods but you can drive down to town go mcdonalds like everyone else does.

I lived and worked out there for a while and honestly during the summer the rates on rooms at the base are dirt cheap. (like 49/night) Winter Park never disappoints, and yes Granby Ranch (formerly SolVista) and Trestle at Winter Park are super close.
