USB 3.0 to 2.0 out there?

I bought a new external hard drive that is USB 3.0 not realizing that it will not work with my computer which has 2.0 ports. I'm just wondering if anyone knows of any options out there to connect the 3.0 cable to my 2.0 port. I've tried looking for a coupling that would work but I have had no luck so far. Thanks in advance!

I thought USB 3 devices were backwards compatible with USB 2. Have you tried just plugging it in?

On most motherboards you have to enable USB 3.0 in your bios.
