Does any one know how a Black Market Killswitch is for trail riding? I have an all mountain bike right now and am thinking of getting a Killswitch. How is it for pedalling? It has the same travel as a xc bike, could I use it for xc?

you might be better off looking at the Blackmarket Roam:

i have a Blackmarket Killswitch. whether you like it for xc or not may depend on how tall you are and whether you want to have the seat high. because of the rear shock design, there is not much seat post room for a long seatpost to go up and down. if you wanted the post high for trail and really low for DJ, you might actually need two different posts.

In general, how do you like your killswitch?

because a killswitch has a cencentric bb pivot, it pedals like shit, i rode my friends which is super light, but pedals terribly. look at something like a transition double, that would be a bit better, or really a 4x duallie frame, as they are made to be more efficient.

on jumps the killswitch is awesome, but its not made to pedal well, and it doesnt.
