Hi I want to convert my 2007 stinky back to a 2 x 9 set up like it was when Kona sold them.
I want it to be more of a do it all bike like it should be.
I found an old brochure from the 2007 range and was looking at the front Derailleurs on the Primo, Deluxe and Stinky and from what I can tell they are a conventional type? Am I right?
And the size 31.8 / 34.9 should fit too? the bigger 34.9 bit
as long as the diameter of the front der matches the tube on the kona. and also that your kona has those little cable holders, you should be good to go.
You can even pick up a new chain guide for the bottom that allows you to have two gears up front.

That's the plan mate. 2 gears up front and a bash guard. The kona does / can support a front mech there are tabs for it I looked last night.
