I've been in search for quite some time now for a freeride bike for my wife who is 4' 11" (on a good day). She is a mere 90 pounds so a lighter bike is preferred. Any help from you shorter girls out there would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Have you looked at slopestyle bikes as the tend to be small. I'm 5'1" and struggled to find a trail / am bike, and ended up with an xs yeti asr 5 but it's not freestyle, though fits me really well.

Im 5'4 and 120... i started off on a mongoose nugget size small. (acutally selling it now on PB) and it was a great beginner freeride bike. it taught me to take turns/burms/ rock gardens. i slammed the seat post all the way down, and it worked out really really well for me. also kona stinkys are great smaller bikes that i was looking into.
I have had one for almost a year now. It is my first longer travel bike, and I can not say enough about how amazing this bike is. Just forget everything else, slope style bikes, small size guys enduro bikes, whatever. The syren is the one and only, true women's free ride bike. AND the size small is microscopic. I am 5'5" and ride a medium. I've tried tons of other friends bikes, guys and girls, and there is nothing that compares to how agile and plush this bike is. It's just a no-brainer.
