Have the tools at hand (college workshop) but no experience, aluminum would be seriously cool to do one, and think would be cheaper, just would need to get sure is firmly atached so it don't rattle like crazy.

Hmm would it be an excuse to learn how to weld on aluminum haha

Quite like the idea of plexi, it looks cool and would show nicely the filter

It really wasn't a great idea in the first place. Who makes a plexiglass air box? Lol Why do you need an air box for one? Why not just make one out of sheet metal?

why wouldn't it be? It's durable and easy to work with lol.

I wouldn't even bother welding. Use a brake and rivets. Super easy, and how most afe/k&n/airaid/etc are built.

That looks quite nice! Might try to call the local "Home Depot" for pricing, near college I can find a shop specialized in bongs and smoking implements but not a place that sells plexi haha

good point, a brake would work better

so pulled my v band clamp off my top turbo, theres a bout a 1/8th" gap from 11:00- 2:00/. Madder Madder

not sure if I can get it straightened out a bit and use some high temp sealant and clamp it or if it will have to come off and go to the machine shop

I dont want to take it out again,

It is nice weather here but carry just enough money for food and bus haha.
Yeah! The plexiglass dealers sell small pieces got to do a sketch when I get the filter so I can build an airbox going to be fun

I've never had a reason to make a box around my filter lol.

I just want it so I can secure it to a place so it don't move around that much and easier way is doing a box
