What's the point of skipping every 2nd link? Other than the chainring wearing out twice as fast.
Makes it so you can walk the chain on and off more easily if you run a tight or slammed back end. Kink made one that was just missing one tooth for the same purpose.
I tried this with an S&M sprocket I had. One tooth was snapped so I filed it right down to leave a gap. If you run your chain tight on a slammed axle it doesn't actually help that much. If at all.
The problem with the one above is if you lose a tooth for whatever reason it's going to leave too big of a gap. If your chain is loose it will walk off on it's own.
I've never tried one so I dunno. Should say it's ostensibly to walk a tight chain on.

I think that's why Kink only ran the idea for a short period. Good idea that doesn't really work in the real world.

I'm always jealous of European Fords. Meanwhile I spend all day putting dual clutches into modern shitty Fiestas...
Haha yeah we got the cool fords, im not the biggest fan of modern fords but most of them are really well spec'd. The biggest problem with old fords over here is the nostalgia and the rally background they have, they drive the prices up like crazy.

That makes sense. Old Fords here are at a premium and that's always been the case, if you want anything muscle your best bet is Chevy, maybe Mopar, but forget anything really collectible unless you can afford Barrett Jackson prices.
I just love that you guys have old, small RWD stuff available. Favorite car I ever had was an '81 Celica GT which I always loved the feel of and would love to have an old Escort or Cortina. Only Escorts we had are the crummy FWD ones from the 80s which are all rusted out now and weren't worth saving in the first place.
Haha we had the cool variants of the fwd stuff! The rear wheel drive stuff is awesome over here, just not a lot available unless you have deep pockets. Ford Anglia 105e will be my next car.
man round here sometimes you can luck out and scoop an 86 for under $2500 CAD mind you most have been rat bagged to hell or are way to over priced.... I think im either going adventure van for my next vehicle or the complete opposite with a 944 Porsche
