Do you have one of the red pad spacers? Jam that in there...should space the pads back enough. If they continue to creep too close then you might have some sticky pistons.

Simple trigonometry it makes little difference at 6 degrees whether or not you use Sine or Tangent as the angle is small,

I've a steel frame and there's water building up at the bottom of the frame, probably through the plug for the stealth routing on the dropper. Any ideas on how to fix this and dry the inside of the frame?

Won't drilling the steel leave it open to rust ? Not that having water in your BB doesn't of course
