I went to Blue in the summer and tried DH for the first time - got addicted to it. Just bought my first mountain bike and trying out as much as I can. I'm almost 47.
I'm 50 the best training I've ever done is entering races. I did 20 events this year, my fitness went throught hte roof. Won my class in xc and took 10th in nationals. All in all a fun year.
I'm 46, been riding 35 years. Planned to start racing DH this year but thanks to an injury i will have to start early next year. I ride mostly technical XC and easy DH
44 just got back on a bike after a 10yr+ layoff this past August , ride mostly freeride and dh style courses with my 19yr old son who just got addicted to freeriding and dh style riding this past July
42 and loving it. Mostly fitness oriented single track and ocassional XC event. Interestingly the last time trial I attended the top 10 fastest times were posted by the over 40 crowd, I got 7th!
Just starting to get the DH itch... and picked up a used Trek Remedy to treat it
Lots of over 40 riders..my next question is. Why are bikes so addictive? I'm always creeping PB for parts..Just bought SID World Cups for my XC bike. Anyone else use them?
Why is this in the fitness section. It is a good topic as I am 50 and have been riding what seems like forever. I gave up dirt bikes a few years ago and mountain bike as much as possible. I road bike ride to keep the fitness level up.
