Has anyone come up with a solution to running a Rock Shox Reverb with the Specialized Internal Routing?
I have a Stumpjumper FSR Expert Carbon 29 and the Internal Routing appears to only be 4mm yet the Reverb runs a 5mm hose. I've tried a Jagwire Hyflow hose which in a tiny bit narrower but it's still too tight to go through the internal routing
I'm reluctant to make the hole wider in a carbon frame for warranty reasons.

Thanks,
Brendan

I have the same question, except I have a 2013 Enduro and would be curious if the reverb could use the internal routing. Can anyone help us.

I will be trying this on my stumpjumper. Does require drilling out the thread of the cable guide but its not carbon so doesn't worry me.

Anyone been able to get the hose to fit?

Mine is halfway fitted. Need to remove the bb next to be able to route it through.

I'm talking about using the stock 13 Enduro holes in the top tube wondering if the reverb hose will fit.

Ah right. I doubt it will as brake hose is slightly wider than gear outer cable. I assume that's for a non stealth reverb?

This is what I am going to try out. Basically I had some electrical cable tie straps and some u-glu adhesive tape. I used the u-glu on a frame protector as to not adhesive directly onto the frame, just so I know I will be able to remove it if need be. The only tricky part was the last strap by the shock, I had to strap the cable on the outside of the cable tie strap because there was too much sideways force and it kept ripping off. I also did not do it up very tight so it more just keeps it away from the shock, but allows the cable to move.

Also the adhesive is awesome but you need to make sure you build up the sides of the cable straps to fill the gaps for the contour of the tube.... It's all about surface area.

I will let you know how it lasts.

Working awesome. Looks good and holds the cables. No issues yet and I have taken it down some rough rides.

I used a combination of file and drill to use my stock internal routing for my non stealth reverb on my 2013 enduro comp. That was easier than finding a 4mm hydrolic cable.

i glued some sandpaper to a brake cable so i could open the hole enough to fit a reverb stealth through internal routing on my 2013 enduro comp worked fine got the cable through looks awesome works well but

when i got my free service for the new bike and the guys in the store told me i have void the warranty on the frame which sucks balls dont see it being a problem unless i get any cracks in the frame down the road which is unlikely anyway

Thats rediculous for them to even say. How do they think the hole got there? What you did isnt going to hurt anything. If you ever do have issues I would just take out the seat post, put some red paint where you filed it, and go to a different shop for them to warranty it! Smile

yeh thats what i thought the holes there for a reason and taking a mm out wont do anything to the frame i saw there s-works enduro in the store and that has a reverb stealth seat post using the internal routing anyone know if they put a 5mm for that routing and a 4mm for the enduro comp?
