Stone calls is IRS actually. I can get them pretty easily seeing as how I live close to the brewery haha

Ive had it once or twice, but I'm not a huge stout fan. But the IRS/ris/sir makes a decent dessert/cigar beer for me

This thread needs a bump. Had the new stone sproketbier-black rye kolsch the other night. Under impressed to say the least.

The fires in san Diego last week (don't know if you hear about them) burned within a mile of stone.

this is a must try, one of my favorites, it's an uber strong American style ipa from san diego. the brewery green flash has never disappointed me with any beer whatsoever.

another good one, it has a very strong brandy flavor as it's fermented in apple brandy barrels. the alky content is over 13% and it's only sold in "bomber" size bottles so it will put a whooping on you. it's a local n.y. brewery for me. their imperial ipa is also to die for.

How many people have been to Stone Brewery in San Diego?

I wish, just for the experience but I've never been impressed with their offerings. Try elysian's day glo IPA the label is hokey as hell but it's a great beer bottle or draught. I had both ways yesterday.

I'm not really a huge green flash fan. I prefer ballast point of the big three San Diego breweries.

Sculpin is supposed to be all the rage, but I don't think it really has any taste to it.
