I put the fork back together but left the top out spring to see how much travel I get..
I got 120mm so if I can find a spring or something around 20mm this would give me 100mm?

That could work. You could just cut the spring to length?

Hello everyone!

I am extremely interested in this 2014 55 R that I want to lower for my DJ bike. I didn't find anything in the past pages on the newer 2014 fork. Any help is greatly appreciated! Thank you!

well the internals seem to be the same as in 2009 so i guess the lowering goes by the same steps

Oh really? That would have been good to know before I asked. Thanks!

If your fork is similar to either of the images all you need to do is put a spacer between the small spring and top of the rod. Its #35 in the diagram and its the silver rod on the right with the small spring on it in the disassembled picture. You will also need to cut your main spring and flatten it out so it sits flush on the top cap.

Is there no way to compress it without cutting the spring? Thanks!

you can compress it...
i normaly just remove the spring and run air only if possible..

How would I do that? Do I need different internals? (Sorry for all the questions, I am new to marzocchi products.)

Theoretically no, you don't need new internals. If you have air assist then you can just not install the spring and pump up the air chamber to about 110psi. Which it looks like it does have the air assist valve.
