Does anyone make their own skis?

Im looking to start making my own skis as I want a little project as I currently can't ride. Has anyone made any skis of their own before?

Did you use a traditional press or some other fancy new way?

Ambitious. Met people in Ischgl who has made their own snowboards. Don't about the press. Are you using wood or fibreglass? This site here may be able to help.

Ive made my own longboards with a homemade press before so looking to progress on to skis.

I would use a wood core and fibreglass top sheet I reckon. Any skilled builders on here?

I've seen guys building their own snowboards before. They were using a vacuum table and a mill and then pressing with air bags for the tip tail and rocker profile.
