Hi all, Im new to mtb... Im 5'7 29" inseam trying to find the right fit. So I had a 2013 heckler 26er small frame. I used a 90mm STEM on it but it sill felt a little cramped. my bone was was back the saddle, really on the edge making it uncomfortable.
So I changed it for a 2014 Medium. the reach feels a lot more comfortable. However the seat is all the way down and its still a bit high. Id say 1-2 inches. I mean Im ok once riding but I can't touch the ground comfortably enough with 1 foot when being on the saddle.
That is probably due to the fact that its now a 27.5" vs 26ER....
so my question is, should I just cut the saddle tube a couple inches (worried about the seat post height vs the handlebar)? or should I go back to the small and try more fitting exercise?
