The soil in my area is mostly sand, so any recommendations for building maintainable, long lasting jumps with it?

Maybe you'll have to mix with concrete?

Mix with ash / gravel / water to make hard pack concrete-like dirt. Use carpet over the lip when not in use to preserve it.

A good tip i found is to spray deodorant on your shaping shovel before packing or shaping stops the dirt from sticking to the shovelSmile

To stop the sticking I just lay carpet over where im packing in/shaping. It wont stick to the carpet. And once youre done just take off the carpet and the dirt is buttery smooth

You can also use spray oil. Better yet, just bring along a bucket of water and dip your shovel every now and then.

ya true I have a spray container thing I use for watering my jumps and berms that ill just spray my shovel with... But I've found clay sticks to a wet shovel much more than dry one

When putting carpet on a jump, how do I make it so it doesn't move around?
