Pitch Headset Problem

Hi all, I need a new headset for my '08 Pitch comp. And my new fork has a tapered steering tube (1-1/8") top, to (1.5") bottom. On Cane creeks website, I'm having trouble finding the right headset. Is there a way to fit my tapered fork into my straight 1-1/8" head tube? I'm pretty sure the lower cup will have to be external since there's no way of fitting the tapered part in the skinny little head tube. Can someone help me please???Madder

You're having trouble because the pitch uses the ec34 size lower cup, and the crown race seat diameter on a tapered steerer tube is 39ish mm. Meaning the fork is bigger that what your frame is capable of using.
