Need a place to stay in Vancouver, Aug-Oct

I am coming to Vancouver, August 26 and am planning to stay till mid October.
I need very much to rent a place where I can stay and do my carving work (preparing for an exhibition, bone - antlers) - a little cabin,or a kind of a trailer or a room and a garage where this carving work can be done. Don't need much space.

Could I ask you for help please? Your suggestions are very welcome, my surfing the housing ads in Vancouver have been not very resultative so far.
Perhaps you know someone who can let such a sort of place, not very expensive.....I don't have any high demands about super conditionsSmile
My bike is going to be with me to ride at weekends....
