Car bike racks for heavy bikes?

What bike racks do people use for heavy DH bikes?

I have a normal hatchback (ford focus) and am looking for a decent rack that can take the weight comfortably on a 1-2 hour journey.

How secure are roof mounted racks?

Take a look at al the thule products they are the best at the bike accesories mostly bike racks but all of the products are high quality

The Thule (square) bars on my car are rated for 80lbs I believe. Have loaded them up to about 70lbs with no problems.

Using Rockymounts Pitchfork bike rack on those. zero problems, only some minor complaints.

I use a Thule Super-G for the DH and the EN bike. Can acomodate diferent wheel sizes (20, 24, 26, 27,5, 29)
