I've got a question. I've got a MY14 55CR which I love. I want to get a used MY12 55R with the black uppers and swap the spring side internals, so the CR170 becomes a CR160 with coil spring, and the R160 becomes an R130 with the AER spring and two travel spacers.

Basically what I want to know is, are the 2012 and 2014 uppers any different other than the colour? Same length, same threads at the top, same grooves at the bottom?
